Game: Ordinal Numbers – Sorszámok

In this activity, you will practise Hungarian ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc.). You are a courier and you must deliver the parcels.

To do that:

Choose a difficulty level.
Look at the number on the parcel.
Press the microphone button.
Say the correct Hungarian ordinal number aloud and see if it is correct.

Click Next to start a new round.

The elevator will ask „Which floor?” before each round. If you find the sound distracting, you can turn it off using the speaker icon.

Note: In Hungarian, ordinal numbers are written as a numeral followed by a full stop. For example: 1. emelet (1st floor), 4. születésnap (4th birthday), a hét 3. napja (the 3rd day of the week), or április 1. (April 1st).

When you don’t yet have enough vocabulary or grammar to speak fully in your target language, try PatchPhrasing.

It means you speak in your native language — but replace any word or phrase you do know (or are just learning now) in the target language.

This helps you learn in context and understand the function of the word (e.g. noun, verb, tense, etc.).

Example:
“I want a piros sports car. Sooo piros like a ripe cherry.”
(piros = red — but I think you guessed that.)

It’s fun, flexible, and builds real fluency — one word at a time.
